"JAR OF LOVE" CARD ASSORTMENT

Today I'm excited to share a sneak peek of the BONUS project that I designed for Craft Project Central.  Following is the introduction that I wrote for this ensemble:

With this tutorial, you’ll explore a variety of ways to use the Jar of Love images along with the coordinating dies to create an assortment of cards.  This ensemble also features assorted patterns from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack to complete the six cards and the box that holds them.  Each card in this set is different, and the techniques and helpful tips will make this collection of products less overwhelming.  Among the card designs that you are sure to enjoy are the window card and the shaker card.  Although some of the techniques are considered advanced, you will love how easily and quickly you’ll complete this ensemble!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with the stamps and coordinating dies to complete this project, and you can enjoy it, too!  Qualifying for the bonus project tutorial is easy . . . just subscribe to two or more months in a row, put the Craft Project Central badge on your blog, or refer a friend to the site.  When your friend subscribes, just let us know!

WIN A FREE SUBSCRIPTION!!!!
As usual, I have a free one-month subscription to give away.  Getting your name in the drawing is really easy . . . just click HERE and leave a comment.  It's really that simple!  On Friday, August 5th, I will draw a name and announce the winner here on my blog, so be sure to come back on that day to see if you're the winner!

"FLOURISHING PHRASES" THANK YOU

It seems like it's been a while since I posted an actual project that I created.  Lately, it's been hard for me to find that sweet spot when I have something created to share and don't have a Craft Project Central sneak peek scheduled to post.  I hope my visitors enjoy seeing those sneak peeks.  They can be so inspiring!  The project that I'm sharing today is an oh, so simple--but pretty (IMHO) thank you card.

Since this card has been long gone, I don't remember the exact colors that I used.  I believe they are Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive.  I also decorated the envelope with the same images, and it looked so pretty!  Don't you just love when a card that's easy to make is also lovely to look at?

SEASIDE SHORE ENSEMBLE . . . AND A GIVE-AWAY!

I had the pleasure of designing two project ensembles for Craft Project Central this month, and one of them is in the spotlight today.  This was one of those projects that just flows into completion, and I was thrilled with it!  Of course, I am quite fond of Stampin' Up!'s By the Shore product suite, and it was one of the first selection of products that I ordered from the new catalog.  Following is the introduction that I wrote for my project:

Whether you need a fun summer slider card or packaging for a seaside treat, you’ll be all set with this ensemble!  You will absolutely love how easy it is to make the fun slider cards, and this tutorial demonstrates some very helpful tips and techniques that make the process as easy as a summer breeze.  You won’t be able to decide which card to make first . . . or treat holder--the animal cracker-style box or the star-shaped bag.  Make these projects with a friend or build a class around them.

And this is the sneak peek photo collage:

[It's hard to tell from the photos, but the star-shaped bag
totally mimics a lighthouse when paired with this ensemble.]

And now for the fun part . . . how would YOU like to win a FREE one-month subscription to Craft Project Central?  Getting your name in the drawing is really easy . . . just click "HERE" and leave a brief comment.  The winning name will be drawn and announced right here on my blog on Tuesday, July 19th, so be sure to at least visit again on that day to see if you have won.  That's easy, isn't it?

It’s fiesta time! Summer is the best time for a party, and who better to help you celebrate than the adorable llama in the Birthday Fiesta Stamp Set? Using the Birthday Fiesta Bundle, you’ll create a diorama that’s perfect for a centerpiece, for holding little treat bags, or just for decoration. You’ll also make a diorama card that can be used as a greeting card or as a party invitation with the party details on the back. And, finally, you’ll make a “Se Llama Cupcake” cupcake holder. With your Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and a few stamps and dies, your party preparations will be a snap! Best of all, you can get your kids involved. They’ll have a blast helping to create the dioramas. Summer has never been so fun!

ANOTHER "SITTING HERE" SYMPATHY CARD

Sharing today another sympathy card that I made with Stampin' Up!'s Sitting Here stamp set.  I love that the images in this set are so easy (and a pleasure) to work with, and they obviously work for all kinds of occasions.  I may have broken the color rules for sympathy cards, but I at least kept the design simple.  The size of this card is a skinny A2--the card itself is 3" wide.  Having the focal point extend the edge of the card base, I think, just adds more subtle interest.

By now, you've probably had a chance to study the gorgeous paper collections in Stampin' Up!'s 2016-2017 Idea Book & Catalog.  Through the month of July, I am offering a designer series paper product share (sizes of paper outlined in the photo above).  The product share includes 114 papers as follows:
52 sheets - 6" x 12"
46 sheets - 6" x 6"
16 sheets - 12" x 12"
There are some big sheets in this paper share
 COST:  $53 + $6.80 shipping
DETAILS
1)  Contact me via email (randari at Hotmail dot com) to sign up for this paper share.  I will need your name, address, and the email address to where I can send your PayPal invoice.
2)  A group of four individuals is required for each paper share that I prep and ship.  Once a group of four individuals have signed up, I will email each individual with a PayPal invoice.  Once all invoices have been paid, I will place the order with Stampin' Up!
3)  When I receive all of the paper from Stampin' Up!, I will promptly make all the cuts and package the papers for mailing to you.
4)  What could delay your receipt of the paper share?  Two things . . . if product is on backorder and delayed by Stampin' Up! and/or if one of the four individuals in the group doesn't pay the PayPal invoice promptly and I need to wait for one more individual to sign up.  Once I send you a PayPal invoice, I will keep reasonable contact with updates including your package tracking # when I ship your package to you.
5)  It is preferred that invoices will be paid promptly; however, an invoice that hasn't been paid within 3 days from the date of the PayPal invoice and IF there has been no contact from the individual to me, the result will be a cancellation of that individual's intention to participate due to nonpayment.

DREAMING OF SNOW IN JULY

It's a new month and time for a brand new sketch challenge at Craft Project Central.  This is what Monika Davis has designed for Creating Pretty Cards - Card Challenge #61:

And this is the card that I designed for the challenge:

I didn't get this fun stamp set (Snow Place) last winter, and I have been so anxious to use it!  With all of the hot, muggy weather we've been having lately, I am dreaming of cold winter days--preferably a few of them with snow.  Granted, I may have strayed slightly from the sketch, but I can still see the sketch in the card that I've created.  I used the computer to generate the vertical sentiment.  Stampin' Up! products featured on my card include:

Stamp Set:  Snow Place
Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Whisper White, Smoky Slate
Ink:  Island Indigo, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Smoky Slate
Sizzix:  Snow Friends Framelits
Punches:  1" Circle, 1-1/4" Circle, 1-1/2" Circle, Snow Flurry

Each month when there are at least ten cards submitted for the sketch challenge, a winning name is drawn (from those who upload a card) to receive a FREE one-month subscription to Craft Project Central.  I hope that YOU will create and upload a card HERE!

"SITTING HERE" SYMPATHY

I wanted to send a sympathy card to my dad recently.  His best friend of many years passed away a little over a week ago, and I just hated that for him!  He was so, so sad, and it tugs at the heart strings to see a parent grieve.  Daddy enjoyed short rides with his friend and just the companionship of visiting with him--sitting in his building, shootin' the breeze about the old days, old times, old people . . . all of this over a beer (or a few of them).  I think of how fortunate my mother is to have me, my sister, and my niece to pal around with, but it's different for daddy because he doesn't have any "ready buddies" who are immediate family members.  That was just one of the perks of having a friend named Wayne.

Since I've been enjoying Stampin' Up!'s Sitting Here stamp set, I used it to create this sympathy card that I sent to daddy:

Luke Bryan's song, "Drink a Beer" reminds me so much of daddy's friendship with Wayne and, if things go as planned, you should be able to view the video below:

LEMONADE STAND GIFT SET

When Stampin’ Up! gives you Fruit Stand Designer Series Papers, what do you do? - Make a Lemonade Gift Set! This sweet gift set would make a fun little summertime Thank You for a friend.
